About the Producer

Honduras is Central America's largest coffee producer. In the past, Honduras coffee was seen as just a blender. Now, the country is producing great coffee that deserves to be made on its own. That is what we find in this Decaf Honduras. In the cup we taste notes of graham crackers, milk chocolate and the sweet lemon heads we had growing up. This coffee truly stands in a league of its own and is reminding us all that Honduras makes incredible coffee, deserving recognition across the board.

About the process

During the water process, the green coffee is pre-soaked in water to expand the beans for caffeine extraction. The hydrated green coffee is then introduced to a unique solution of concentrated coffee solubles that draw out the caffeine while minimizing the loss of flavor compounds. Once the caffeine has been removed the green coffee is re-dried and re-bagged for transport, and the extract solution is filtered of its caffeine and recycled to be used again.

Decaf Honduras

At Native Sons, we wanted a decaf coffee that didn't sacrifice flavor or quality. As a result, our Decaf Honduras coffee has earned its place among our other offerings due to its unique flavor and innovative processing. This coffee reflects the hard work of its farmers and the ingenuity behind its production, with tasting notes of graham crackers, milk chocolate, and sweet lemon heads.
