General Questions

At the moment we do not, however we are open to the possibility in the future. In the meantime, follow our social media to stay updated on what we are up to. For catering, shoot us a line at Help@nativesonsroasters.com with the details of your event!

Our bags are 60% compostable and 60% plant-based renewable. To dispose of them, we recommend removing the valve and zipper before placing the bag in your home compost. After 12 weeks remove any remaining bag material and throw away in your trash.

Online Orders and Shipping

Sometimes, our emails end up in people’s junk folders. Other times, the confirmation is sent as a text and is blocked by the phone carrier.

Why does this happen?
When checking out using ShopPay, notifications will be sent to your phone number via text.

If you have any questions about this, please feel free to email help@nativesonsroasters.com with the name on your order and we can provide you with your order confirmation directly.

Unfortunately, we do not have any additional information than what you have received. Once we hand off the package to UPS, it’s in their hands to ensure delivery.

With that being said, check with your neighbors and your postal delivery person. Also check around your normal delivery place to see if it’s been put somewhere different. Sometimes carriers will mark packages as being delivered but not actually deliver them until the next day.

If you are unable to track down your package after 48 hours, please let us know by sending your name and order number to HELP@nativesonsroasters.com with a description of the issue you’re experiencing.

We appreciate your business and want to make it right. Please email us at HELP@nativesonsroasters.com with your name, order number, and description of the issue you’re experiencing and we will work to make it right.

Coffee Questions

All of our coffee at Native Sons is roasted to order. We roast and ship our coffees Monday through Friday. At most, they are shipped out or delivered to our cafes within 72 hours of being roasted.

Curious about how to brew your coffee or use a new brew method? You can visit each coffee’s product page for videos of how we brewed that specific coffee on filter and espresso. These videos are found underneath the Story section of each coffee page.

We do not currently purchase any Fair Trade certified coffees. Fair Trade guarantees producers only $1.80 per pound of coffee. We always pay a guaranteed double Fair Trade and often several times more. We list Fair Trade prices from the time of purchase and what we paid per pound in the transparency section on each coffee page, so you can check out how they compare from coffee to coffee.

Once one of our bags of coffee is opened, it is good for about 30 days. Our retail bags have a high barrier and an air tight zipper to keep any air from entering. In addition, there is a one way valve installed to allow coffee to release the carbon dioxide that may build up. Once you open your new coffee for the first time, squeeze as much air out of the bag as you can and seal it with the zipper. This will keep your coffee tasting better for longer.

We find that with how we roast, our coffee will taste best after resting for 10 days and consumed prior to the 6 week mark. As coffee ages it looses some of its vibrancy and you may need to use more and grind finer in order to achieve comparable taste in the cup.

We roast each of our coffees to bring out its best qualities, so all of our coffees are roasted a bit different from each other. But that also means, for us, our coffees are a medium-light roast to a lighter roast.

Classic:These will be the most approachable, balanced coffees. Still up to our high quality standards, but good as a crowd pleaser because it will stand up on its own or with milk and sugar.

Intriguing:These coffees are a bit more vibrant and unique, they often have distinct, and interesting flavor notes while still retaining a level of approachability. We are always aiming for vibrant acidity and sweetness in these guys.

Adventurous:These coffees are the lightest and most experimentally processed, often exhibiting wild and distinct flavors. Always our most traceable, often to individual family farms and even smaller sections of a farm.
