About The Producer

Mt. Ijen is a somewhat active volcano in East Java, Indonesia. The mineral-rich volcanic soil allows for farmers to grow coffee that has exceptional quality and character. When the coffee trees are ready for harvest, the farmers hand pick the ripest cherries to move on to processing. These coffee cherries are transported to the Botolinggo village where they are washed and soaked in channels. Workers carefully handpick and remove any cherries that don't meet the required standards.
